Indo–China Trade Development of the East


The Calcutta Machinery Dealers' Association (CMDA) successfully organised a Special Session on "Indo–China Trade Development of the East" at The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata. The programme commenced with the National Anthem and witnessed enthusiastic participation from CMDA members, industrialists, business leaders and distinguished guests from across Eastern India. The session was graced by His Excellency Mr. Xu Wei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, as the Chief Guest and Key Speaker. In his address, he congratulated CMDA on the success of its recent trade delegation to China and appreciated the Association's efforts in strengthening business cooperation between India and China. He highlighted the growing trade potential between the two countries and encouraged greater collaboration in trade, investment, technology and industrial development, particularly in Eastern India. The programme featured an engaging interactive session between the Consul General and CMDA members, the unveiling of a CMDA publication, and an audio-visual presentation showcasing China's latest advancements in robotics, automation and industrial technology, which generated considerable interest among the participants. The event served as a valuable platform for discussing new business opportunities, strengthening commercial ties and exploring future collaborations between Indian and Chinese industries. It received extensive coverage across national and regional media and was also featured on the official social media platforms of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, bringing international recognition to CMDA's initiative.
